Wood and composite
Cedar, pressure-treated pine, and composite each need a different touch. We keep the pressure low enough that wood fibers are not shredded, and we work in the direction of the grain. Composite gets a wash aimed at pollen, mildew, and the film that makes boards slippery.
Railings, stairs, and the skirt boards are part of the visit, not an extra. If a board is soft or a railing is loose, we will tell you. We wash. We do not rebuild the deck.
A deck visit includes
- Sweeping loose debris before the wash
- Cleaning boards, rails, and stairs
- Rinsing plants at the edge if overspray reaches them
- Time to dry before you walk it or plan a stain
